Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’ will not release in Pakistan. Yes, extremely to the confusion of the Khan’s fans in the neighboring nation Pakistan’s Censor Board has not released the film after discovering the film’s content & theme unacceptable.
One week back, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had addressed the thumbs up to the Report & Broadcasting Ministry to lift the ‘ban’ by declaring No Objection Certificate to Indian movies, subject to clearance by the Censor Board. Following the release of Kaabil & Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Cinegoers were breathlessly awaiting the release of “Raees” movie which marks the Bollywood introduction of Pakistan’s top actress, Mahira Khan. The movie was registered to hit Pakistani theaters on Sunday.
Sources stated, “Raees’ will not release in Pakistan according to a decision taken by the censor board today. It shows Muslims in very negative light and could lead to reactions from different sects, and it is unsuitable for public screening.”
Sources continued, “Raees had been banned for public screening its prints were easily available in different qualities in the DVD market.”
